I have chosen one of the National Geographic videos to watch and share. I've been always fascinated by their beautiful photos.

Podcasts and Audio Files

I have installed iTunes on my computer and subscribed to a few podcasts. I also listened to some of them. Audio books are great.

Browser Tools

I installed Google Toolbar and Libx. I think they will be the most useful tools for me.

Social Networks

I have created for this week assignment a Facebook using a pseudonym. After I read all about the facebook, I decided that it is something that would not use.

Google Applications

I have learned 2 more things this week :Google Docs and Personalizing your Google Account. Exploring Google Maps is always a great fun and it's helpful for planning trips. Making my own Google search page was very enjoyable. Google Docs is a good tool for group project.

Library Thing

It is a great place to list all books you want to read or the titles that you have finished and want to share with others. It was interesting to see how many other members picked the same titles.

Social Bookmarking

I think the Social Bookmarking is very helpful for people having the same profession/interest. It is a quick and easy access to different sites that sometimes is hard to find.

Flickr

I've enjoyed browsing through the photos on Flickr. I think I will open my account to post our photos on Flickr and share them with family and friends. It's a wonderful tool. Here is a link to beautiful photos. I was fascinated by their colors.

Wikis

I think Wiki is a great tool to help with group projects, for example assignments. It could be useful for committee work, for example Christmas committee. It is simple and quick way to communicate and share ideas with other members of the group.

Creating entry for recipes section on Ryerson Wiki was fun. I am happy to learn new tool.

RRS Feeds

There are so many websites that you can subscribe to. I had to be very selective and not to be overloaded with information. It is good that you can always add more and weed them later. Adding feeds was easy.

Learning Blog

I am glad to have a chance to learn something new and hope to enjoy my weekly walks through Blog. I like all new created Blogs by our staff. I think it will be fun.
